Neste conto é-nos apresentado o mundo de Garrick, aquele onde cresceu e de onde tentou fugir. A autora fez um bom trabalho a apresentar o snobismo em que o personagem cresceu, sendo que o conseguimos sentir em cada atitude de cada personagem.
Gostei que a autora tivesse usado o lado mais trapalhão da Bliss para cativar a mãe de Garrick e que no fim tudo tenha acabado bem. Pontos bónus para a atitude da Bliss quando soube o que o Garric estava a pensar fazer. Mostra que realmente se preocupa com ele e que o entende como ninguém.
Gostei que a autora tivesse usado o lado mais trapalhão da Bliss para cativar a mãe de Garrick e que no fim tudo tenha acabado bem. Pontos bónus para a atitude da Bliss quando soube o que o Garric estava a pensar fazer. Mostra que realmente se preocupa com ele e que o entende como ninguém.

Cada vez mais o jovem me diz menos. Se já no livro anterior ele andava um pouco desaparecido e apagado, neste conto nota-se perfeitamente que o Adam é um pouco para o desequilibrado. Por um lado ama muito a Juliette e não consegue viver sem ela. Por outro deixa-a sem qualquer segundo pensamento para ir ter com o irmão. Eu percebo que é o irmão e tudo o mais, mas o Kenji apresenta-lhe uma alternativa bastante racional para resolver tanto a situação do James como ajudar a Juliette e o jovem é completamente cego para tudo aquilo que lhe dizem. É também bastante notório que ele gosta é da Juliette inocente, incapaz de tomar conta de si própria e completamente dependente. Esta nova Juliette assusta-o e fá-lo sentir-se algo incapaz. É uma atitude idiota, pois normalmente queremos que as pessoas de quem gostamos se mostrem fortes e bem, não o contrário.
Mais uma vez é um bom complemente à história original e mostra-nos que rumo a narrativa poderá tomar, mas não é algo extremamente essencial para que tenhamos uma melhor percepção da história em si.
